The North Shore:
An Outdoor Enthusiasts Playground
The North Shore offers a wide range of activities all throughout the year. In the winter months, just head up to Mount Seymour, Grouse Mountain or Cypress Mountain for a day of skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, tubing and sliding.
The closest of the three local mountains is Mount Seymour, in the summer months mountain bikers ride here for the great trails. If you’re looking to stay beach side in the summer, check out Cates Park and Deep Cove for their great beaches and water activities like kayaking and stand up paddling. There is also no shortage of hiking trails on the North Shore. Finally, tee it up all year round at Northlands Golf Course or at Seymour Golf & Country Club.

There are great places to eat and socialize with many pubs and restaurants nearby. A local favourite for brunch, lunch and dinner is Arm’s Reach Bistro in Deep Cove. If you’re in a pizza and beer kind of mood, check out The Raven Pub and Restaurant, which is now family friendly from 11am to 8pm. For your sweet tooth, visit Honey Doughnuts & Goodies, their doughnuts claim to be “melt in your mouth goodness”.
Dollarton Village, 35,907 sqft. of retailers and services is where you can find your local grocer – Nester’s Market, Starbucks, BC Liquor Store, Royal Bank, Maa Yoga Studio and more!
If you require a larger shopping centre, Parkgate Village Shopping Centre, comprised of 38 retailers and services. The main anchors for this shopping centre are Safeway and Shoppers Drug Mart.
Roche Point is only 17 minutes away is the fabulous Lonsdale Quay Market where you can by fresh organics, meat and seafood. There is also an international food court and specialty shops featuring local designers. Many events and festivals take place at the Lonsdale Quay and nearby Waterfront Park like the Caribbean Days Festival attracting thousands of attendees across the Lower Mainland.
