Historic Murrayville

In 1925 the neighbourhood between 216 Street, 216A Street, 48th Avenue and 48A Avenue became known as Murrayville, one of Langley’s oldest communities.

MurrayvilleMurrayville is known for it’s vibrant community and small town atmosphere while only being a 5 minute drive away from Langley City Centre and 45 minutes from Downtown Vancouver. The Murrayville neighbourhood is home to the Langley Memorial Hospital, Langley RCMP Main Detachment, Langley School District offices, Langley Regional Airport and W.C. Blair Recreation Centre.

The W.C. Blair Recreation Centre has a wave pool, swimming lanes, shallow children’s area, sauna and hot tub. This recreation centre also has a 1,100 sqft. fitness room, a 1,500 sqft. weight room, a meeting room and a multi-purpose room.


Murrayville has two elementary schools – James Hill Elementary School and Langley Fundamental School and one high school – Langley Secondary School. There is also a Christian elementary and high school – Credo Elementary School and Credo Secondary School.
